Rob joined Renaisi in 2009 as part of a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) between Renaisi and Kingston University. The KTP programme aims to help UK businesses to improve their competitiveness and productivity through the better use of knowledge, technology and skills that reside within the UK knowledge base. Rob’s recent work has revolved around product development and policy research, facilitating the revision of Renaisi’s services to ensure they match the current needs of our clients and communities. Rob has also lead on a number of projects encouraging greater sharing of knowledge within the company and improving internal systems. On the client side Rob has supported the evaluation of the St Paul’s Way Transformational Project; the formulation of the Future of London’s Rising Stars Programme and has hosted several focus groups and undertaken a number of appraisals for area-based regeneration schemes. As part of the KTP project Rob will be travelling to the US in late January 2011 to carry out some research into what ‘The Big Society’ could look like in practice.
Rob graduated from the Nottingham Business School with a 1st BA (hons) in Business Studies (Strategy and Entrepreneurship) and has begun work on his Mphil at Kingston University looking at the differences to approaches in neighbourhood regeneration in the UK and USA. Rob is also co-authoring an article with Prof. Matthew Humphreys on the benefits of tackling environmental sustainability issues at the neighbourhood level to be published later this year. Prior to joining Renaisi Rob had worked for King’s Lynn Borough Council as part of the NORA regeneration project and spent a year working for IBM.
