Clive has been Chief Executive of Renaisi since July 2010 – he was previously Director of Employment and Enterprise – and has been with the company since its inception in 1997. Clive’s specialisms include the full breadth of economic development support with a particular focus on inward investment, business support and workforce development. He is also extremely experienced in both project and programme management. Clive has also provided support to the senior management teams of a number of London Local Authorities.
During his time at Renaisi, Clive has seen the focus of regeneration move from large area based programmes to the current Localism agenda. However, that time of change has seen one constant – that successful regeneration is based on working with local people to realise a tangible improvement to their neighbourhood.
Prior to joining Renaisi, Clive spent five years in the Economic and Planning Consultancy arm of international property consultants, Chesterton. He was also in the founding team that established the Thames Gateway London Partnership as inward investment co-ordinator and was a member of the Thames Gateway Task Group which led on inward investment issues and saw the establishment of Gateway to London, the sub regional inward investment agency. He led a cross borough working group in discussions with the LDA around Olympics business relocation. Outside of Renaisi, Clive enjoys travel, golf and reading and has an unhealthy interest in the fortunes of Newcastle United.
