Jon graduated in General Practice Property Surveying specialising in urban regeneration and has over twelve years of experience in a wide range of urban regeneration disciplines.
This experience includes managing a number of SRB Programmes, setting up and managing Hackney’s Neighbourhood Renewal Programme, overseeing budgets in excess of £20milllion per annum. Jon was also heavily involved with Hackney’s LSP (Team Hackney) providing strategic advice across a range of partnerships and thematic areas and developing targeted project interventions. Jon was Head of Regeneration for Hackney Council for two years with responsibility for over £30million of regeneration programmes as well as leading the Council’s Economic Development function.
Jon acted as ‘Head of 2012’ at Waltham Forest, one of the host boroughs for the Olympics, where he led a team of staff maximising the opportunities that arise from hosting the games and working with key Olympic delivery agencies.
Recently Jon has been on secondment at Ecorys as their Head of Assurance and has also been managing the delivery of two of Renaisi’s employment programmes; the Lewisham Community Gold project which is engaging some 400 local residents and aiming to move over 100 into sustained employment, and a DWP funded Environmental Task Force project based in Shepherds Bush.
