Melanie is a Regeneration Consultant specialising in worklessness, community development, youth engagement and economic development advice, guidance and support. In the last 6 years, Melanie has successfully established and delivered a large regeneration programme (£19m) on time and target and bid for and received funding in excess of £1m for employment and enterprise support programmes. She has undertaken a number of commissions as a Local Improvement Advisor – including advising on Connecting Communities and Future Jobs Fund programmes. Melanie set up and managed the Future Jobs Fund programme in Tower Hamlets and helped to develop their approach to Flexible New Deal. She is currently assisting EC1 NDC and Islington Council to develop a new community based Trust to run a brand new £2.4m building in the south of Islington.
Since April 2007, Melanie has been working on a number of commissions detailed below as an independent consultant.
