Rob Pearce

Renaisi’s lead social entrepreneur, Rob, is a Director at Renaisi with responsibility for designing and delivering new approaches to public service delivery. He also leads Renaisi’s local economic development services and has considerable expertise in social cohesion, community development and neighbourhood regeneration and renewal.

Rob’s experience is drawn from local government, where he worked for a wide range of local authorities. He was a Chief Officer for many years and also worked at a national level with the IDeA where he held a number of posts including the Head of Policy and Strategy.

An experienced leader – his areas of practice include planning and regeneration, community development and cohesion, economic development, the community and voluntary sector as well as service delivery. Having worked for a number of years in public sector organisational development he also has specific skills in partnership building, political management, organisational design and learning, knowledge transfer, capacity building and training and development.

Rob’s role at Renaisi allows him to combine the experience and skills he has accumulated over the last thirty years to help build Renaisi’s social business and support local communities to improve their neighbourhoods. As a passionate believer in the value of social enterprises on local communities and the right of everyone to live in a great neighbourhood, Rob sees his challenge as making social businesses an integral part of neighbourhood renewal.

Rob was a national Local Improvement Advisor on behald of CLG and an associtate for the Institute of Community Cohesion where he has recently led reviews of Manchester and Sheffield.

During a local government career spanning twenty nine years he has worked for four London Boroughs, a County Council and a District Council. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy and has an MA in Cities, Culture and Social Change from Kings College London.
