Our vision is to help create sustainable, attractive and inclusive neighbourhoods, which foster the talent and diversity of local people. This is not without challenge. Reversing years of neighbourhood decline means developing integrated services which cut across physical, economic, social and environmental issues.
Our work is therefore diverse and includes a wide range of services from public service reform and delivery, community development and capacity building through to local economic development, neighbourhood planning and moving people into work. We believe our value as an organisation is down to our ability to connect these areas and to design flexible, effective services, which are forged in partnerships with local providers and the community. This includes working with local authorities, community organisations, developers, housing associations, local businesses and other mainstream providers to maximise the impact of neighbourhood services and activities.
We believe we have unrivalled experience of direct neighbourhood delivery with exceptionally talented and dedicated staff. However, as a social business it is important for us to strive to do better and continually improve the services that we deliver. We do this by investing in our staff, encouraging innovation, learning from and pioneering good practice and using our skills and knowledge wherever possible to support local people and local agencies.
