Renaisi organises a series of events and seminars, each year, to encourage wider debate and learning about issues affecting communities and neighbourhood renewal.

Our flagship event is the annual Renaisi Lecture, which features key speakers from across the sector.  Last year’s lecture was a Question Time-styled debate with our Chief Executive and the Liberal Democrat’s Vince Cable MP, the Conservative Party’s Caroline Spellman MP, Sir Albert Bore, the former Labour Mayor of Birmingham and Peter Holbrook, the Chief Executive of the Social Enterprise Coalition.  More than 400 delegates from across local government and the private and voluntary sectors attended to hear the speakers debate the issues about what next for neighbourhood regeneration in a time of austerity.

In addition to our Lecture we hold regular roundtable sessions and a bi-monthly evening symposium series at Renaisi’s offices, with talks from prominent regeneration practitioners and academics.  This gives us an opportunity to ensure that our staff, partners and clients are kept abreast of developments within the industry and can exchange learning and insights.  Some of our guest speakers have included David Lunts, Homes and Communities Agency, Chris Brown, Igloo, Sarah Ebanja, London Development Agency and Sir Bill Boler, Business in the Community.

In addition to organizing our own events, we also provide event management services to our partners and have recently organised an event on behalf of Social Enterprise London to explore the opportunities for social enterprises in delivering the 2012 Olympic Legacy.  We are in the process of finalising our schedule of events for the year ahead and will upload details shortly.
