We are delighted to announce that the Institute for Employment Studies (IES) has been appointed as external evaluator for RISE, our new employment service for refugees and asylum seekers. The IES will carry out research to help Renaisi increase our understanding of refugees and asylum seekers in the areas where RISE is being delivered. They will also benchmark the outputs and outcomes to understand how RISE compares to other similar programmes. Findings will be updated for each year of the service to obtain insight into any changes.
IES’ work is part of a wider evaluation of RISE which is being led by Renaisi’s in-house research and evaluation team. This will include learning events aiming to share with a wider audience the learning emerging from both Renaisi’s and the IES’s work.. The evaluation will run until December 2019, when a final report combining Renaisi’s and the IES’s findings will be published.
Laura Busfield, Renaisi’s Director of Employment Services said:
“This evaluation is a key step for Renaisi to understand the impact RISE is having on refugees and asylum seekers in the community and how to continue to improve our employment support.”
“We are really excited to be working in collaboration with a leading centre of research in employment. We hope that their valuable insights will provide a great opportunity for our employment and evaluation teams to share learning and combine our expertise.”
