Employment Adviser – Various contracts across London

Location: London | Full-time | £24,000 to £28,000 per annum

Renaisi is a 20-year-old social enterprise on a mission to help people and places to thrive.

Renaisi does three complementary things:

  • Provide employment and inclusion programmes for people experiencing disadvantage and exclusion across fifteen boroughs in London
  • Work with institutions across the UK to help them understand and increase their impact on communities through research, evaluation and learning partnerships.
  • Generate insights and learning from across our work to help us explore what it takes to improve a place

We currently deliver five employment programmes across 15 boroughs in London and are funded by multiple public bodies and private organisations. The achievement of performance-related outcomes relies heavily on our ability to provide evidence relating to these outcomes.

The purpose of our Employment Programmes is to assist hard to reach communities back into the labour market by providing individuals with direction through a specially designed menu of services. These services include engagement, diagnostic assessment, employability skills, advice and guidance, signposting to specialist provision and short vocational courses, jobsearch, assistance with interviews, and in work support.

We’re looking to expand our team of Employment Advisors

To help us retain and grow our high quality, successful provision we are seeking a proactive and committed Employment Advisor to join our team.

The purpose of the Employment Advisor role is to assist in the delivery of Renaisi’s employment programmes to high-quality standards. Acting as a single point of contact, you will provide information, advice and guidance services to clients in your caseload, including face-to-face interviews and support sessions; producing action plans; assisting clients through our programmes of training and employment support and into employment; providing aftercare to clients in work. Keep accurate client files and records (including the use of our database(s)), and produce output evidence stencils for the compilation of monitoring returns for our funders. To work with other members of Renaisi’s employment team to establish and maintain a comprehensive service to promote skills development and address worklessness. Vacancies on our current contracts include:

  • Southwark Works – assisting Southwark residents who are either long-term unemployed (12 months+) or aged 50+
  • Central London Works/Work and Health Programme – supporting long-term unemployed (12 months+) or health barriers into work in Lambeth and Hackney

  • Journey to Work – supporting individuals over the age of 40 into employment from Lambeth, Southwark, Wandsworth & Lewisham

What we are looking for:

As much as we’re looking for someone with the relevant skills, knowledge and experience, we are also looking for someone who wants to make a difference to communities, organisations and places. We’re passionate about that and you’ll need to be too!

In particular, we’re looking for someone who is able:

  • To work with other members of Renaisi’s employment team to establish and maintain a comprehensive service to promote skills development and address worklessness.
